Poor customer service (delivery delay)

I ordered boys’ crocs (size 3) on Sunday last week and was advised delivery would take place on April 01. I went to check at the store yesterday and there was nothing and no one bothered to keep me posted as to what is going on. If you set expectations with the customer at least contact and let them know of possible delays if there are any. So, will the product be delivered to my address as I already wasted my money and went to the store for nothing or I’m supposed to go back again? This is poor customer service I don’t care how much I spent I’m still a customer regardless.
