Poor Attitude and Customer Service Tygervalley

I received a top as a gift valued at R89,99, tag was left on in case I needed to change it for a bigger size but I have no slip. Unfortunately the top is too short so I decided to take it to MRP Tygervalley on 4 January 2017 to exchange it for a bigger size or something else. I searched in store and couldn't find the same top so I decided to take a dress valued at R139.99 instead. I was willing to pay the difference in price. When I got to the till point, the top scanned R69.99 as they are currently having a promotion and a buy one get one free special. I was then told that I cannot change the top as when they scan it, it scans as R0.00 due to the promotion. I was told to come back to the store on the 9th January as this is when the promotion ends. I was willing to do the exchange at the lower price but 2 staff member refused to do the exchange as the system would not allow them to do it. I explained that I am on leave this week and wont be able to come back on 9 Jan as I would be back at work and asked if there was an alternative way to help me. Once again I was told they wont be able to help me and I must come back on the 9th. The Staff member then told me with an attitude that She can call the store manager if I want her to but she will tell me the same thing. This is a major inconvenience for me and I am highly disappointed with the service I received today as I am a loyal customer.
I don't think your system being unable to do returns due to a promotion should be my problem. This is your inefficiency at my cost.
