Not a valued customer

<p>I have been an account holder with Mr. Price for approximately seven years. I have kept my account up to date all this time and frequently shopped at the Mr. Price stores on credit and cash. My contract with my employer ended 31 December 2016 and as I have not yet found a new job I am currently unemployed. Because I paid my December installment a few days late, my account is now in arrears. I feel sad and humiliated because of Mr. Price's treatment of me now that I can not pay my account immediately. What happened to 'dear valued customer'?! I've received emails stating that I'm behind one month (December 2016) which I did pay on 14 January 2017. Apparently because I made ONE late payment in the 7 years of being a client/accountholder I'm now being harassed for R 413.35. This money is in respect of January which would normally be payable at month end but because I made one late payment it became payable in the middle of January. I tried to make a payment arrangement with the collection department this morning and was told by the consultant that the minimum installment is R 320 which I clearly can't afford right now. There was no sympathy as I tried and failed to make a payment arrangement. Basically Mr. Price is saying '***** you'. I'm truly disgusted as Foschini treated me much differently, with respect, when I explained my predicament and they allowed me to make a much smaller payment. I will find a new job (I have a qualification and degree) and when I do, I will pay off this account as quickly as I can. I will never buy anything from Mr. Price again. Thanks for showing me how little you value me as a customer.</p>
