Mr Price you should be appalled, your policies are pathetic, offensive and contravene consumer rights!

I had the worst experience at Mr Price Fourways on 27/02/2022. I went to exchange a gift and the staff (Tshepo, Itumeleng and Sizwe) were rude and unhelpful. I was told that I cannot exchange my gift without a receipt because they don’t know if I got the item from the looted stock from last year. I questioned this rigid and absolutely offensive policy as you don’t usually receive a receipt with gifts. I showed them the price tag on the clothing item, as proof that I’ve never worn the jeans but Ituemeleng and Sizwe were rude and insulting. Itumeleng told me to go find the receipt, when I asked her how because I received the jeans from my mother in Cape Town she said the shop doesn’t know if this isn’t part of the looted stock. I found it highly offensive for Mr Price to train their staff that their customers are *******. What is even more off putting is that the store has put into place rigid measures to recover the ****** stock from innocent and loyal customers. I will be posting this on social media as I know Mr Price has a huge following and support from low to middle income earners, that will be disgusted to know that every time they walk in the shop we are labelled *********! Mr Price is happy to take money from consumers, yet trample on their rights at any given cost. Mr Price you should be appalled, your policies are pathetic, offensive and contravene consumer rights!
