Mr Price Walmer Park - Not allowed to purchase

Yesterday the 10th of December 2023, I paid a visit to Mr Price Clothing at Walmer Park and experienced the following;

I was one of 4 people who entered the store just before closing. Seeing that the there still quite a few people still waiting in the queue to make payment, my intention was to do a quick walk though the store, if there was something I wanted to purchase, to pick up and take to the queue or else, to promptly leave the store, to avoid wasting any further time of the staff.

I did end up finding something I wanted to purchase, but, as soon as I picked up the item, a staff member approached me to inform me that the store was closed, and that I could shop or walk around, but I would not be able to pay for my items, as there was only 1 cashier and someone assisting the cashier. All the while the other people that walked in with were still shopping and looking around at things. I asked the staff member she was asking me not to shop there and again her response was I can pick items and walk around, but I will not be able to pay. so basically I was asked to leave, Kicked out, However you call, from your Walmer Park store.

Customer Service in Port Elizabeth, is seriously lacking, But this is the worst I have come across.

We also work and have days we want to get out off our place of employment as soon as we can, however, we don't have the luxury to kick our customers out, or tell the boss enough work for the day.

FYI, After leaving the store, I did manage to walking into Mr Price Sport, doors were still opening, and people still shopping. I walked out, as the experience I just had in the clothing store, left me very disappointed in the brand as a whole. If Mr price does not need my money, its quite ok, there are many other stores.

Train your staff to do better and be better.
