Mr Price or Mr Officer

The question I keep asking is, who or when did Mr Price and their security get the rights to search their customers personal bags? *****I MUST EMPHASIZE THIS THIS IS NOT ONLY THE BAG OF WHAT YOU BOUGHT AT Mr Price, THIS YOU OWN PERSOANAL BAG.***** THIS IS YOUR PERSONAL BAG, BAGCKPACK, HANDBAG etc. PERSONAL!!! Whats in my bag has got absolutely nothing to do with them, Unless they think I stole. Ive worked in retail before, the first lesson i was thought is that you cant approach a customer to be searched unless you're 100% sure they had ****** an item. Approaching a customer asking to search them and you're wrong could lead to the company being in real big trouble making wrongful accusation, embarrassing the customer, ultimately, the company being being taken to court, defamation of character... The list goes on. So has the rules changed since or was Mr Price given special licenses, I really want to know. I dont see any signage, notifications at the front entrance stating that your personal bag, maybe its on their slip. If an item is ******, the censored alarm goes off yes. Security should be checking cameras in real time. But, "Not to worry, they'll just stand at the entrance and search all customers personal belongings." If this is allowed and seems the norm, next thing you know you'll be pattered down like a ********." The police has to have a reason to search anyone, and if you decline, they'll take you to the police station. They have to have a reason though. I guess Mr Price has trust issues, they think all the customers are *****ing from them. So today i refused to allow them to search my bag, Its my bag. The security told me its company policy, thats OK, if that. I asked her to show me where it says that, where it forewarns their customers that their personal belongings will be searched on leaving the store. Then they wanted to call a manager. I bought 1 item, a belt actually, had the slip in my hand and the belt. I gave the security my slip to view proof of payment, yet still still they wanted to search my bag. I then asked if she thought i stole something that shed want to search, again i was told its company policy and as its my personal things, i had even before coming to the store, i wouldnt allow it. I mean come on, this is merely a retail store, They sell fast fashion, not even items, not a single diamond. Then they called a manager because i declined and people were starting to look at me as if i stole something. So i spoke a bit loud so they can here that I will not allow a retail store to search my personal items before leaving their store. I dont even get searched when i leave my place of employment. This was so embarrassing, I feel as if i when i walked in the store, they pre-empted the thought that i stole and my bag must be searched. Why is this being allowed, how are they getting away with this. Not me, I will not allow random stores to search my bags and call it company policy. What kind of company has Policies like that. Think all their cusotmer are *****ing from them. I wouldnt even want to work for a company that has that policies. I wonder what their company values are. If they treat their customers that way. I'm a bit concerned for their employees. WHO GAVE Mr Price THE RIGHTS TO DO THIS TO ME, TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.
