Mr Price online store sucks

Made online purchase of gym equipment. Order was excepted and my money taken. Shipping in 5 days. 6 days later I check and order has status of On Hold. I am told that they might have a problem with stock but they cannot check because of system issues. How can they take my order and money and then come with such a story.
