Mr Price dissapointment with exchange

I am so disappointed in Mr Price The Reef. They hade a jean special. Buy 2 jeans items and you get to choice a free jean item for free. Now I wanted to chance the 1 item because of the size and I am now told I am not alowed to bacause the item was free. It is on my slip. What is the issue? Realy dissapointing.
