Mr Price dept collection

I had an account with Mr price. Unfortunately last year I lost my job, my account was handed over in January. The fee was 4200...since I paid 2170. Last month I didn't pay. Today I got a message that I owe 4200.. Again. Means I have been throwing my money in the dustbin. What am I charged for? I called and asked for a statement,it was not sent. I called again to make arrangements, the lady was so rude she hang the phone on me... What I want to know is why am I charged like this, this means that I will pay this account for the rest of my life.
