Mr Price ceiling falls and knocks 11year old months back and store never even bothered to follow up

You know how businesses in first world countries are taken to court for the smallest things, like a customer falling because of wet floors? 'We' don't. And we should. These companies profit from us but take us for granted. Please help a dear friend of mine get a lawyer? Siyabuswa mall MRP. She took her 11year old son for some shopping in that store. Remember how high store ceilings are? Well, a big portion of the ceiling got unstuck and fell all the way from up there, and fell right on top of her unsuspecting son who was there to make that store money. It hit him so hard that the poor boy got knocked down and got injured and got humiliated. The store manager apparently came to the scene just to brush my friend off with politically right statements which made them look like they cared. Saying they've alerted head office of the bad state of the shop ceiling and stuff before, and head office hadn't done anything about it. That she should take time off from her things and take him to a doctor and they would pay the 20cents back. They have never once called her to follow up on how he's doing. Seems they've moved on with their lives, making money from other people/customers who clearly are only rands on feet for them, and don't deserve any safe and well maintained stores to shop in. You know, it would at least have been better if they'd called. Any legal advice? I will keep updating. Let's see what happens. It was painful. Embarrassing. Humiliating. Changed whole day plans. But hey, 'so what'???
