Mr Price - Canal Walk Cape Town

This is to serve as a formal complaint against your Mr Price clothing store , Canal Walk.

On the 11 February 2019, I went to the store to purchase a cellphone I saw 2 days prior. After 10 minutes of waiting , none of the staff offered assistance. I then proceeded to ask a store representative for help, who in turn approached the manager on duty. His name is "Billy". After another 10 minutes of waiting, even with staff standing around doing nothing ,still no sign of assistance.

Eventually I go to the area where Billy is working, he saw me, and well, I got no acknowledgment at all. A simple , "I will be with you shortly" would have been more than suffice. The representative who I initially spoke to asks me if anyone has assisted, after I tell her no, she disappeared behind the counter to help other customers.

At this point my patience is running out, I ask a different store representative who then told me that the lady who usually deals with the mobile devices had already left for the day, but she will check with the manager, Billy to make sure. Now keep in mind that I knew what I wanted to buy and didnt have any technical questions at all. It was a simple case of paying for the device and filling out the required paperwork and leaving....THATS ALL!

The message then gets relayed to me by the representative that unfortunately nobody will be able to assist me!? It was at this point that I went up to Billy and told him how disgusted I was by the service received. Again , he didn't acknowledge me , said absolutely nothing and just went about doing what he was doing.

I tried calling the store this morning, 12 February 2019 , and on both occasions were the calls rejected.

I myself am in customer service, and what I received was PATHETIC if you ask me. If Billy is indeed the manager, he doesn't deserve the position.
