Mr price Blue route mall

I'm so disgusted with Mr Price Blue Route Mall My daughter got given a mr price gift card by a family member for her birthday she's held onto this card since the 2nd Dec waiting patiently for me to take her to the mall, so I took her on Saturday knowing how crazy busy the mall is and not only that hardly any items on shelves as people are purchasing like crazy. Eventually she found herself some items, make my way to the queue which was miles out the door taking atleast 45min to the till for them to tell me sorry voucher card is invalid sorry "next customer please" I was disgusted by the way they basically shoved me out calling the next person in the queue without even attending to the issue of the voucher or explaining to me what is happening. Eventually after I perform they swipe the card again this time tell me sorry funds have already been used on card. Like seriously now what the actual F... again trying to shove me out the door with a customer care number I should call or wait listen even better go back to the store where it was purchased, keep in mind it was a gift from someone that was purchased all the way in century city mr price. What disgusting service I tell you. I get home call customer care and they tell me there's absolutely nothing wrong with the gift card the card is valid the amount is there and not been touched on and its active to use. So what the actual... Is this how people get treated using a gift cards in festive time, why? is it that the shops want to see ur cash money and make big bucks and not want to help a 12year old do her gift card shopping actually appalling. What's the point of having a gift card system if that's how u treat people with it. I'm extremely upset and the way I feel I'm quite done with Mr Price and feel no need to go back to there store. Terrible customer service and hardly any communication skills. One ****ed off single mom trying to make her daughter happy.
