Mr Price are exempted from certain customer service legislations

I visited Mr Price in Hibernia Street, George and was disappointed with the service that they provided. They had mens underwear with a red price sticker attached to for R10.00,but when I went to the till point, a price of R169.00 reflected after being scanned.

I feel offended and don't appreciate the manner in which my complaint was handled as I was led to understand that it is a norm for customers to paste prices onto unmarked down items.

I have gone to the Mr Price store in the Garden Route Mall on Saturday(14/02/2025), and bought underwear for respectively R10&R50.I suppose that spurred me on to look at another outlet for similar bargains. All to my disappointment especially in the way everything unfolded.I feel that the price discrepancy was unprofessionally handled by all senior staffmembers present, including their Regional Manager, Donovan,as he was contacted about the query and gave instruction that my query was an invalid one.I have reiterated that the whole occurrence was that of a THE PRICE YOU SEE, IS THE PRICE YOU PAY as should have been handled that way.Instead my integrity was questioned as reference to previous modus operandi concerning price changes took center stage.

Surely, it seems that Mr Price is exempted from consumer rights, stipulated in the National Credit Act policies, as they would rather look at a customer, face value, by questioning ones integrity, hence disregarding proper customer service completely.
