misleading of information to customers

Yesterday we visited Mr Price in canal walk mall, Century City, Cape Town. when we entered the store we asked if we can use the SA Drivers license for laybye and the employee responded with YES. we then spended 1hour choosing the right clothes for us heading to the cashier. When we got to the cashier they told us that we cant use SA Drivers license for laybyes, that got me very angry because we should have gone home to fetch the ID Instead of being in the shop for an hour, waste of our time. This was an unprofessional conduct by the employees whom don't have correct information about their store.
