Dear MRP,

Yesterday I went into your Cavendish Square branch to return two items. I walked around in the store and wanted to purchase a sweater from the MRP Sports range.

When I arrived at the till the cashier processed the return, I told her I was taking my sweater as well. She rang up the sweater and put through the payment. When I had to pay, I asked her why I was paying R149.99 (the sweater was R99.00, value of the return was R249.99). The value of my refund was R149.00. I asked her twice if she is refunding me and not putting it through as an additional payment, she insisted that its a refund.

This morning when I checked my credit card statement, I noticed that it went through as a payment. I literally took time off from work and used an Uber to get to and from Cavendish.

Do I have to go back for a proper refund (I have the receipt). Whose going to reimburse my time and these Uber receipts?

Please train your staff properly, a simple inconvenience cost time and money and the reputation of your brand!
