*********** staff and processes!

I recently got a call from debt collectors claiming that I had an outstanding debt with MrPrice. After speaking to the customer consultants, it was verified that the account had been **********ly opened, and that MRPrice staff opened the account without conducting any FICA verification and ascertaining the identity of the people opening the account. Apparently the person who opened the account only submitted a bank confirmation from ABSA detailing my names as evidence, which is also a ********** document because I do not bank with ABSA. I have been emailing the ***** dept for this case to get investigated to no avail. I have requested the customer consultants to escalate this case to the ***** dept and they claimed they were unable to because the ***** investigators were all working from home and all they could do was make a note on the system. I asked them to notify the debt collectors not to attempt to collect on this account because it is ********** as they have been calling me everyday And they claimed they also couldn’t do that with no reason why! This is frustrating and irresponsible of MrPrice and is messing with my credit record- all because your people didn’t do their job and are still not doing their job!
