Important - read before opening an account.

Had an account with Mr. Price. Had a payment on the account due at 31 December 2024, which I only paid on the 8th of January 2025. Their statements update on the 7th of each month and the National Credit Bureau was notified on the 7th of the month of my payment default. On their terms & conditions (currently and when I app**** for a contract) it clearly states that I will be notified of default (which I wasn't, and have asked for proof but none was given) apart from that they state that they follow the National Credit Act with regards to notifying the Credit Bureau. The Act clearly states that a grace period of 30 days is given upon default to rectify the situation, yet they gave me 7 days. I have tried to get the proper cooperation from them but their customer service just keeps saying "we process on the 7th" with no feedback on why they are in breach of their own terms. Another agent (a supervisor) said that maybe next time I should check the terms before entering into a contract with someone. Apart from this being extremely rude, ******** and not backed by any factual evidence on why the notice was sent through only after 7 days (contradicting their own terms and the contract we entered into). I advise you to check your credit record (as it will be impacted negatively) and not even try to rectify the situation with Mr. Price itself as this will get you nowhere, go directly to the National Credit Bureau. As I am obligated to do now due to the lack of assistance and evidence provided.
