I RATE YOU LESS THAN 1 STAR.
I received a track suit as a gift from a friend who purchased it at MRP. The receipt was not provided to me. When I realized that the pants size is not correct, I contacted my friend for the receipt and she informed me that she had thrown it away. The item however still has the tag on it.
I went to Flora Centre Branch (Roodepoort) to attempt to do an exchange to no avail. I was told that the policy stipulates that no items can be returned or exchanged without a receipt. I advised that the item was gifted to me and I had no form of a receipt, only the tag. They refused to exchange the item for another size.
The assistant store manager Gugulethu informed me that if head office authorizes the exchange, then she will gladly exchange it BUT in the same breath she told me to buy another pair of track pants. How does that make any sense.
I called head office whilst I was in the store. I was transferred from pillar to post. Everyone I spoke to refused to transfer me to a supervisor as they were working from home. I also work in a call centre as a team leader and I find it strange that a superior is not available to connect to our call telephonically, even though everyone is working from home.
I called head office again. I spoke to Nivasha who kept transferring me to the incorrect departments. I spoke to a Zama with the same treatment. Zama took down my details for a manager to call me back, but to date – nothing.
I called head office a total of 6 times and in none of those calls did anyone of the consultants go out of their way to try and resolve my issue. At the very least someone could have offered me to pull your security footage for the date and time of the purchase to prove that this item was bought, and not ****** with the tag still on it. Surely your system keeps a record somewhere of the card purchase that was made. How hard can it be to find an item with the date and time of the purchase available to filter through the data?
No one offered me any possible resolution or even said that they would try to help me resolve it.
Is this how MRP treats their customers?
If the MRP label is still on, it should be enough proof of the purchase.
