I need phone to be refund or replace

I Was in Hospital with Covid about 2 months I ask my son to buy me cellphone, with was on a special at Mr Price Atlantis, he could only drop the phone at the hospital due to the Covid restrictions, the cell phone was put away due to my condition, finally after two weeks, my cell was given to me it only worked for 6 hour and when dead no power, i ask my son to return to Mr Price was send to the repairs shop gone to difficulty for response even try the head office and regional manager who promise me that he would see me , after a year phone still in the box gone thro so many hands the outcome the phone had water in. I must pay R4500.00 for repairs a phone that was on special for R3999.00. I was in a private ward. because of my condition. can i have this phone refunded even it is after a year but brand new still.
