I don't Want to Shop Here anymore

I recently got a got a Mr Price store card. I had been shopping at this franchise for years.

I recently made a large-ish order from their online store. It was to be picked up at the Table View branch of Mr Price. When it I picked up the package and tried on the clothes I discovered that well over half of the items did not fit, even though it was my usual size. I returned to the store from whenst I got the package. I returned the items within a week of getting them, the young man who helped me assured me that they couldn't give me a cash refund and it would be loaded onto my store card. I received no email, no text message and no tangible evidence that I had returned the items in the days to come.

I left the store and likely discarded the package and the receipt thinking the situation was sorted. When I received my statement for that month I noticed that the refunded amount was not reflected. I attempted to return to the store in Bayside Shopping Centre to bring it to their attention.

The manager of the store was helpful enough to check the store records for the days afterwards and says there is no evidence that I visited the store as I could not recall on which day exactly I returned the items. I remember it was sometime between the 24th-31st of April. She was incredibly helpful, but because I could not remember who helped me, when I came in and did not have the reciept anymore she was not able to help me.

This lack of logging of me returning my clothes means that the store simply took clothes I paid for and now refuses to refund me, I am now suffering a lose because of the negligence or incompetence of the staff. I remember exactly what I returned and where I returned it. It is ironic because you can't leave a Mr Price store without security invasively searching your handbag or shopping bag to make sure you did not ***** from the store. I have never ****** from anyone but I let them do this because these are their instructions and now the store has ****** from me. Funny isn't it?

I used to love this shop and had been shopping here for over a decade, but the lack of dignity that the security treats you with, the poor quality clothes' were things I could deal with. After this horrid experience with the store I cannot say that I can ever bring myself back to shop here again. Not after the negligence of the staff has put me at a loss. It is completely unfair for me to be expected to pay for something I returned and for them to refuse to help me.
