Heel broke on FIRST Wear

It is with great embarrassment that I write this complaint.

I walked into Mr Price and fell in love with a pair of half boots which I immediately purchased. Because they’re winter boots, I waited for a cold day to wear them. To my huge disappointment, the heel completely broke after only 3 hours of wear.

Today was the very first day I wore them, and I was left embarrassed at work with a broken heel. I literally had to work without shoes because they failed this morning.

I no longer have the receipt, as I was confident the shoes were good quality as they fitted perfectly in-store and I had no reason to expect they’d break on first use. I am happy to share photos of the damage or return the shoes to any branch for inspection.

Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods must be of reasonable quality and durable. A heel breaking after 3 hours is clearly a manufacturing defect.

*Resolution requested:* Full refund for the defective shoes.

Please advise how I can proceed. I can provide date of purchase, branch, and bank card used if that helps trace the transaction.
