Harassing cold calls

In the last three weeks I have received numerous harassing phone calls from Mr Price mobile offering me a "free" sim card. I have made it clear each time that I am not interested in this or any other offer, and have asked repeatedly to be removed from their call list.

Today I was again phoned with the same offer. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. I told the supervisor that I had on numerous occasions asked to be removed from their calling list. I then asked the supervisor if he was aware that by continuing to harass me, he was breaking the law and was in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. The supervisor stated on the recorded line that he was indeed aware and admitted to willingly and knowingly breaking the law. He apologised and agreed to remove my name off the calling list and to never contact me again.

Less than five minutes later I was again contacted by another agent, this time on my house phone. Again I had to tell the person that I do not wish to receive these marketing calls.

I have now on more than one occasion asked to be removed from your calling lists. I have made my desire to OPT OUT clear on your recorded line. By continuing with these cold calls Mr Price is in direct contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. If I receive any further phone calls from Mr Price I will not hesitate to report the matter to the National Consumer Commission.
