First and foremost I want to say that I don't easily complain and respect the work people do in retail, as myself, i have been working in the food retail industry for more than 30 year's and still am. I am sure your business did very well this Black Friday gone by, I work the long hours as most retailers do and being a manager you put in extra hours, I was excited to see you guy's having the special on male Chino pants for the Black Friday sale, two for R270, i slipped out from work and rushed Down to Hemingway Mall (Mr Price clothing store), to get myself two Chino male plants, I looked and could not believe my eyes, there was a line from the tills, leading almost out the front door, I could not stand in the line as I could only get away from work for one hour, this was on Saturday the 27th November, I had to be at work on Sunday again and could not slip away due to my assistant manager being off, on Monday the 29th November, I managed to get off work at 14:00 and rushed down to Hemingway Mall, Mr Price clothing store and to my surprise, the Chino pants sign was not up, I asked one of the staff who work in the male department if the Chino pants was by any chance still on special, the staff said no! That the Chino was only for the Black Friday special, I said that I do understand, but would there be any chance of me getting this special due to my situation, staff said that there would be no chance of me getting this deal, I asked for the manager, Unathi did come up to me, I explained my story that I could not make it and asked if there was please anyway that she could assist me, Unathi said that there is no way she can assist, the deal is finished, I I excepted this with a little disappointment and proceeded to look for other trousers in-store, I found a pair of jeans at the end of sale deals, there was no price on the jeans and proceeded to the male who I asked in the beginning about chinos for the price, he walked a few steps down and returned saying that the system was down, he could not get the price for me, I picked up the trousers and walked up to the manager Unathi and asked if her system was down, she said no, I then mentioned what her staff did, did not get any response there, Unathi handed another staff member to try and look for a price on the system, I stood waiting for more than 35 minutes and still he was looking through the system for a price, I decided to leave and go look at Jets and managed to find myself trousers there. I did go back to Mr Price clothing and also decided to buy myself one pair of Chino, as I did love the pants. At the checkout while paying, I did mention to Unathi that I am sure she could of gone the little extra mile for the working people that could not make it out for the deals, I noticed all the other stores at Hemingway did keep there specials running. Shame on you all for the terrible service I was giving
