GIFT VOUCHER A NO NO!

Returned curtains purchased at Sheet Street . They were short of cash needed to refund me as I had paid with my debit card. I was asked if I was going to purchase any other items to which I rep**** not here but at Mr Price. Apparently Sheet Street and Mr Price have combined partnerships so I was offered a Gift Voucher instead to utilize at Mr Price which I then did. Unfortunately these items from Mr Price (curtains) were not suitable colour either..so returned them only to be informed that a cash refund was not possible as it was purchased on a Gift Voucher . ? This surely goes against the Consumer Protection Act now enforcing customers to purchase items with my own cash.....After MUCH deliberation and phone calls back and forth to Head Office...Sheet Street ...who were 3 shops away...I was refunded a Gift Voucher 40 min later and sent back to original store i.e Sheet Street...CUSTOMER SERVICE AT MR PRICE PATHETIC.... SERIOUS TRAINING NEEDED!! Nothing should be IMPOSSIBLE unless one is dealing with pre programed ROBOTS...clearly I was at Mr Price? ? Thankfully Ray at Sheet Street wasbetter trained re customer service ....
