Called and reported, but was not effective or willing to assist with either freezing the account etc. Total limit used. No credit check has been done. Can it be this easy???

So easy to open an account ONLINE without even checks on Address/ work place / ID Docs??? But I have to go all the way to a branch to submit the affidavit etc?
