Exchanges or refunds

I always have a problem with Mr price when I need to exchange items without a receipt. Last month was my birthday and I received something without a receipt so I asked to exchange it and they said I couldn't. This is bad business because sometimes customers want to exchange and add additional items to the sale, so that means Mr price doesn't like to make sales.
