Embarrassing moment

So embarrassing

I got accused of *****ing the Jersey I came in wearing.

I had arrived at the Mr Price in Newtown Junction to go exchange two items that I bought yesterday. I stood outside the store with a few people and we awaited the store to open. I went in when it opened, notified the lady at the store about the Exchange and she asked me to leave the plastic with her. I go on shopping but really I could sense that I'm being followed, next thing I see two security officers and a lady coming to me and accusing me of *****ing the item I'm wearing (jersey). She said she has been notified that I wasn't wearing a jersey when I entered. I asked who told her , she refused to say. I said let's go ask the lady I left the plastic with. She said she doesn't remember. Luckily I had bought the item the previous day and it's also in the till slip I had with me. They had to check the size and see if it's corresponding, check the item number and all that. I was so embarrassed and they refused to tell me who said I wasn't wearing a jersey. I'm an account holder at Mr Price and I wasn't expecting that at all. I was terrified because ideally, I thought they could easily check the cameras first since the store just opened before pulling me to the side like that. I haven't experienced any problems with Mr Price since my opening an acc with them in 2019 until today. It wasn't nice, hope they do better.
