Double charging debit/credit card on payment

On the 25/04 i did shopping at the Mr Price Carnival mall. I produced my debit card for payment, my card was swiped and the money went off my account (i received an sms reflecting the deduction). The cashier then tells me i need to swipe the card for payment again as they think the payment did not go through. I refused cause the sms is proof that i have paid. They gave a story that it will reverse back into my account in 24 hours and i should pay again or they will give me my money cash the following day. No reversal of the transaction has happened so far to date. I went back to the store and the store manager gave me the run around and ended up not refunding my money. <br> They have a list of people that need their money due to such act. I find this a ********** activity. Some people do not have cellphone banking to alert them of payment. If this is done to such individual who does not have cellphone banking, that person has been **********. For the fact that they offered to reimburse me cash as an option, they can clearly pocket that money should no one come back to claim. Some people don't check their bank statements to identify such activities. I'm disgusted and very angry :( :(
