Don't believe the 'express delivery' time frame

In a time where you can actually track the courier as they come to your door (Like UberEats) Why oh why do we still have delivery services that demand we sit at home all day in case our delivery arrives?!

I placed an order with Mr Price home on Friday the 25th of August. I paid for 'express delivery' (1-3 working days) as I knew suspected their backward delivery service wouldn't be able to tell me (even approximately) when my order would arrive. So I figured that worst case scenario, it would only be 3 working days I would have to sit at home waiting for my delivery (although I hoped it would be less like takealot always does)

I ordered last week Friday (the 25th) making today is the 3rd working day. So I contacted the call center to see if there was any way to find out exactly when my delivery would arrive. Only to be told it would be sometime before close of business tomorrow as the day I ordered doesn't count as a working day (making Wednesday the 3rd day)

Blood hell MPH. I order online a LOT and I have never been so disappointed with a service. I will never use your delivery service again. Do you even know what it's like to be trapped at home for 4 days waiting for a delivery? You may as well just cancel your delivery service because nobody in their right mind would consent to that. We don't all work at places with a front desk to receive the delivery. And if you don't, I advise you don't use the MRH delivery service. Lest you also be stuck at home while they take their time getting your good to you.

Thank you for your reply. There is no need as the parcel just arrived. Seems your delivery service is fine, it's just your call center staff that are uninformed. Thank you.
