Distrusting sales tactics
I was contacted by mr price for a Mtn data promotion last week
I was told I would pay a R179 monthly instalment for 20G
I checking my mrp account and saw they deducted a second R179
When i contacted mrp it was brushed off as a once off payment I did not sign up paying R350 for 20G
Today I cancelled the promotion and was told I am now liable for a 3rd R179 cancellation fee
I have never missed an instalment for 5years on my mr price account. Pat yourself a on the back for making R537 off a loyal customer in a week simply because you want more sales at ANY cost!!!
I don’t want any automated apologies well done for making a quick buck and a K A K service

10 Oct 2024, 15:47Firstly, I was told on the recorded Mtn phone call that my instalment will be R179 not R358
R358 was deducted from my mr account
Second I was told that I must let mr price know if I want to cancel I was never told about a cancellation fee
I did not get a copy of this contract to date
We have a consumer protection act for a reason
This second fee and cancellation fee was never part of the verbal agreement I signed up for
I am not paying a cancellation fee I hope this gets resolved immediately
