delivery delays and bad service

I am a regular online buyer and I am still adjusting to the new website. I ordered a few things and it stated that I would get free deliver, which I was very happy about. However I selected the incorrect address and called to get it rectified as I no longer reside at that address. I spoke to Eugene James who assisted me. On Friday the 30th my parcel was out for delivery and apparently the delivery was attempted and no one was available. I sat waiting for the parcel and no one came. When I followed up on Monday, Eugene told me to be patient. On Tuesday I called again to check up on my parcel and confirm the address. I spoke to Courtney Hutchinson who told me that she does not have the information and I can only get that information from Eugene. I don’t understand how she could not assist me and wondered what would have happened if Eugene was not at work, clearly I would have to wait for him to return in order to be assisted. Instead of finding a solution Courtney put me on hold till I hung up. Eventually I managed to get a hold of Eugene who still said my parcel was on its way and I should be patient since I did not pay for the shipment. So I am wondering if it makes it ok for my parcel to delay just because I was not charged for delivery. This morning I received notification that my parcel had been delivered, yet I have not received it. Only to find out that the parcel was delivered to the incorrect address (my old address). This has been an inconvenience and the experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and consider stopping my online shopping.
