DECLINED TRANSACTION BUT THE MONEY WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY BANK AND NO REFUND HAS BEEN DONE

Good morning

I am writing this review with so much as to how from here onwards am i supposed to handle this issue. On the 16/11/2024, i bought clothes at Mr Price Hemingways with a standard bank debit card but it declined due to network issues i assumed. Then i was taken to another till to try again but i just let me rather use a Capitec card which it was successful. Arriving at home i noticed the declined purchase had deducted the amount of clothes that i had which was R1595.38 i then called my bank the following day to query such of which i was instructed to go to the store and for them to refund the money. I then did as instructed but to my surprise they told me they can’t do anything on their side as the money doesn’t reflect on their side. Fine, i then reverted back to my bank to open a complaint for them to at least cancel or reverse the transaction, the consultant that was helping me from standard bank complaints dept explained to me clearly what needed to be done from MrPrice as the money that was deducted is still awaiting for MrPrice to authorise the transaction inorder for my bank to reverse the money back into my bank account they even wrote an email with such information. 21/11/2024 i went back to MrPrice Hemingways where the manager and supervisor that was on shift handle this issue by calling their bank authorisation dept to cancel this from their side and an email was also sent to the authorisation dept with this refund issue but i haven’t received any feedback from them and the transaction on banking app is still showing the Awaiting to be authorised. I dont know what next to do regarding this matter as it has been 10days now trying to get my money. ***
