Data Buying/Sharing

This morning I received a miss call from an Unknown Number which I just, just missed. Not even 5 min later I receive a call on my work landline from an Indian woman calling from MrP and asking to speak to me by Name and Surname, once I say yes that is me, she continues to try and sell me some mobile service, this is not the first time this same woman has called me and so o stopped her and asked her how she got my work number, nevermind my cell number as well. As my work number is not linked to me via FB, Instagram or any other social platform. The call agent then tells me (admits) that MrPrice actually buys data (peoples infornation) from data houses and that is how they have my info. This really has displeased me immensely and I would like to be removed from your system entirely. I have only given MrPrice my email address and that was for them to email me a till slip WHICH I ended up getting promotional advertising as well. Please can someone sort this out as I have never given anyone the authority to sell or buy my informatiom. Have you not heard of the POPPY ACT which is in force?!
