Damaged goods

Today 28-11-2018 I went to Mr price East gate to buy sandals which were meant to be a gift for a friend, after looking around the shop I found the shoes I was looking for which for some reason they were the only pair on the floor and were the acxact size I'm looking for and I waited for 20 minutes to make payment as the queues were abnormally long I paid and took my packet when I got to my car I put the shoes in a gift bag only then I realised that both shoes were damaged and I couldn't have seen them as they were binded by the hanger, I am so disappointed that even the cashier did not notice that and why were those shoes on the floor? Now I have to make another drive and waste my petrol and wait for another 20 minutes or more on the queues trying to make a refund. I am so disgusted. And need my money back.
