Customer service - unbelievably disappointing

I have never in my life felt so horrible, and felt so like a ********, until I walked into Mr Price Tygervalley yesterday. Yesterday, 25 July I went to Tygervalley Mr Price branch to exchange a pant. Unfortunately I lost the slip but the tag was still in intact. It was unbelievable the manner in which these 2 sales people behind the counter handled this. The lady standing at the POS asks me "why wasn’t the slip e-mailed to me". And when she called the other lady, who I assume was the supervisor then asks me "did the security not stop you at the door" and then still has the ordasity to ask me "did you come in the store with this bag". After the exchange was done, the POS lady told me she is not giving me a slip. I said “fine, ok”. Then I walked out of the store, the security guard now decided to do her job, searched my bags and found no slip. Now what! I thought. No slip. The security guard not going to let me out! I went back to the counter and then she tells me that I must show the security guard what she wrote on the packet “return no slip” and the date. Which she failed to tell me when the exchange in the first place.

Firstly, they put me in such an awkward position. I was soooo disgruntled and found everything that had just happened implausible, when I left the store. Not to mention I felt interrogated. Do you train your employees to make customers feel bad? Are your customers suppose to know when they walk into Mr Price to return goods; they must first walk to security guard at the door, to be searched first. What **** is that. Not my problem that the security did not do her job. But to be cross questioned whether or not the security stopped me???? I am shopping like I shop at any other shop, minding my own freakin business, but to be stopped at security guard and be searched like I stole something. I am not responsible for other people not doing their job. I expect good service and to be treated well. If you are not doing your job, I just don’t buy there again. Honestly, I don’t think the latter is of any importance where Mr Price is concerned. And being a frequent Mr Price customer I can you tell why.

Once before the security guard checked my packet and actually took the packet from me and gives me a number, and then takes the packet to the counter. You must fetch your clothing at the counter, he says. What kind of security process is that. Are you expecting customers to come in and buy your clothes, or first make them feel like *********. I see you don’t do this anymore. So the only way I see it is you are trying to implement some kind of security protocol and nothing is working. But why!!! Why are you more concerned about people *****ing from you, so much so, that you have totally lost focus on what is really important, customer satisfaction!! What happened to customer comes first, ensuring good customer service. Clearly you are not taking any of this into consideration. You are more concerned about people *****ing. Why are other retail stores not like this. Your clothing are cheap and poor quality. There are expensive stores, all the more reason why they should be more concerned. You do not train your staff; they do not know how to converse and assist customers. Your level of standards are low, low price, low quality. But that is no reason why the service should be low too.
