Closing an account is a nightmare.

I have been trying to close my account at Mr Price for a while now, filled their form than paid the remaining balance and was told to go and check at any Mr Price if my account was close. I'm tired of using my hard earned money going back and forth for the same response (they haven't closed it). Why is it so easy to open an account but difficult to close it. Tired calling the customer care number but it doesn't go through.
