Change of payment term

Change of Account payment period I have a new Mr Price money account (a week old) and I have requested for them to change it to a 6months and not the 12months payment structure. I sent a request regarding this and all of a sudden I can not change this and would need to close the account and reopen it. The account is a week old and I have absolutely no desire to have to close and reopen it for this. my question is where is the logic in this? and why can I now not do it? Honestly think that this is just a way to keep one in a certain payment structure that earns them more interest.
