Bad customer service

I bought two jeans at Mr price bloem plaza and they are telling me that I can't exchange them because they are on promotion I got them free and the assistant didn't explain that to me when I buy now I don't know what will I do with this jeans cos they don't fit me and I didn't get any help from their customer service, now I don't know who will I turn to for help.
