A mess to open new account if you previously had an account with them!!!

I had an account in 2017 and closed it after a year. I opened a new account, got approved and wanted to start buying in store. When I got to the till they had an issue with my old account still being "open". I was waiting at the store for an hour and a half for Mr Price Money to sort it out over the telephone. They said I must go back tomorrow then the "tag" on my old account will be removed. Basically the funds does not show on my new account. I just need to please get it sorted. What a mission to open a new account. If it is not sorted tomorrow, I will have to close this account and never go back to Mr Price again.
