Worst service I have ever had, or not had...

FRIDAY

This was the 5th. The receptionist explained to me that they are busy and the earliest they would be able to assist us was early the following week. I was told to complete a form on-line and doing so, they would "Get right back to me". They contacted me on Monday and informed me that somebody will meet me between 11am-12pm, the following day.

TUESDAY

I waited, until after 12pm. I eventually contacted them to enquire whether they were still on their way. I was told the genleman was on his way and he would be here soon. 3 Hours later, Frank arrived.

Frank (the technician) started stripping down the washing machine. He managed to find something in the outlet pipe, a sharp object which he proceded to remove ham-handedly. Instead of removing the pipe to preserve the part, he tore a hole in it (at my cost, blaming the perforation on the obstruction not his ham handdedness). During this visit I was waiting for him to possibly take out the didgtal multi meter , so as to test the electrical workings of the machine. I did feel that the service was very slap-dash and the call-out fee is just a way to cover their petrol. It was clear that it is not a service where they may fix your appliances at your home (as they apparently state they do). As they do not have the correct aquipment on hand to clearly establish where the fault lies.

Anyways... We finally got a time set for them to collect our machine and to provide us with a replacement, for the duration of the time that they would take to fix ours.

WEDNESDAY

Well, we waited. Then we waited some more after which my wife called and got a new time for the collection, the following day.

THURSDAY

Which again we waited and waited some more. After already being 3 hours late, they arranged a time for the collection of our washing machine.

FRIDAY

Again another 3 hours late, he finally arrived. This time he had the wrong temporary machine and asked if he could please take our machine and bring the replacement a bit later. As all he had to do is quickly collect it at their offices in Athlone (his words). So he left with our machine. And yet again - Frank did not arrive with the repalcement machine.

It seemed that he had stopped taking my calls. By this point I had phoned their office number endlessly. ALWAYS engaged. Except for the one second I got Theo on the line. He made the appointment for Thursday (which never happened). So now they had tahen my machine and did not take my calls. By now I thought, "Maybe I'm being ******". Surely nobody's, a company or person's service can be so shockingly-down-right-aweful. What a fool am I? To still trust them after the apalling service all week. Our machine was still working, may I add. It did mean we had to wring out the water though - but the point is... it's still valuable.

SATURDAY

Early on the 5th day, we decided to find out what happened to Frank- once again.

I miraculously got hold of him, upon which he very kindly said that he will be with us by 11am. I felt releived.

1pm, STILL NO Frank. At this point I've tried to contact him several times. I finally got hold of him when I used another phone. A new number. Apparently the only way you can get hold of him, is by making him think it's new business. He told me that he is act ually on his off day, murmered something about Stellenbosch and then put the phone down in my ear. And here we are.... NOW WHAT?
