Poor Workmanship, Shoddy Billing Practices & Bad Management

<p>Mr Fix It Appliance Repairs Cape Town (www.mrfixitappliancerepairs.co.za) visited my property twice to attend to three repairs.<br />1) Oven not working. Watched them work on the oven in the flatlet. They charged me for replacing a thermostat, which was not the problem.<br />2) Supp**** a new filter for my dish-washer. On the first invoice they charge R250 for the filter and R550 on the second invoice.<br />3) Had to repair a gas leak for a gas stove. They first wanted to remove the cut-off valve. We pointed out that the gas installation would not be compliant if the valve was removed. They then tried to repair the valve. The gas continued to leak. I was however charged for all the copper piping and valve to be replaced, which they did not do.</p> <p>4) They charged me for the replacement of a bulb for the over, which still does not work.<br />I complained with Timothy, the owner, who simply wanted to send out another team.<br />Given their shoddy workmanship and ***** billy practices, I refused to allow them onto the property. Set up a meeting for Timothy to come to the property to have a look at the work completed (or not completed) and discuss what was payable considering that I was not going to pay for work not completed. He did however not show up. <br />Threatened me with attorneys to collect the outstanding balance (for work not completed) if I do not pay.<br />Recommend you stay away from this business. Shoddy work, ************ billing practices. More effort that it is worth.</p>
