Customer Nightmare is Real! Mr Fix It Appliance Repairs, Athlone, Cape Town.

This business is owned and run by a young chap called Timothy, based in Athlone, Cape Town, and they have this fancy website that lures poor unsuspecting customers, like myself.

They were very quick to respond to my service enquiry on their website, followed up with an eager phone call and a prompt call-out to collect my washing machine and it was all downhill from there. I was assured that I would have my machine back "within 3-5 working days."

At this point, the first alarm bells should have been ringing, because they came to fetch my washing machine, not with a bakkie, but shoved into the hatchback of some beaten-up little car.

After countless phone calls, emails, WhatsApps & 2 months of them having my washing machine and then finally sending it back to them a 3rd time, it always came back with more problems than it had before, including water leaks, loose bolts and *****s, loose wires and connections, missing parts. They just could not get it right, no matter how many chances they got.

Shocking workmanship, *********** and untrained staff, dishonesty, countless broken promises, non-existent communication, no apologies or any customer service to speak of.

There was no attempt at any point, by the owner of the company, nor his staff, to take responsibility for any of the stuff-ups that were made during this job, nor any attempt to rescue the reputation of their business, nor repair the relationship with his customer. There was just lots ducking and diving.

If I were Timothy, I would not be able to sleep at night, knowing that I had publically embarrassed & disgraced myself as a business owner and thrown away my company name like this.

Avoid doing business with these people at all costs!
