Mr Cheap Transport is unprofessional and careless about damage to property!

This is my first time ever writing a negative review about any company. I don't take doing this lightly. We have had the worst experience from Mr Cheap Transport from almost the beginning. We used their services to transport our vehicle from Cape Town to KwaZulu Natal. We booked the move and paid well in advance. When we went to drop off our car we discovered that our booking had been cancelled and this took some time and fighting to correct. When our car arrived it was missing a side mirror. We reported this to Mr Cheap Transport immediately, and sent them pictures of the car clearly missing a mirror. They have repeatedly refused to process our claim for the mirror. They sent us an email stating: "it was again found that no claim can be lodged due to the finding on the Proof of Delivery(attached). It clearly states that the mirror cover was cracked... it came off whilst in transit". We have repeatedly explained that our car had had this small crack at the back of the mirror for years. It was so minor that we never bothered to replace the mirror as it worked fine and could still be adjusted. Their refusal to even consider paying for even part of the cost of replacing the mirror is beyond unreasonable! This company simply does not care about customer service (let alone customer satisfaction). Given the way they've treated us I doubt they even care about their reputation - which I find shocking! The manner with which they have dealt with us has been disgusting and completely unprofessional. They would ignore emails and phone calls. Their tone has been flippant and dismissive, and they have repeatedly passed the buck to their subcontracted vehicle carrier (who also refuse to consider our claim). Dealing with them has been a nightmare! This has also meant that for the past two months, since our move, we have not been able to use the car. PLEASE AVOID USING MR CHEAP TRANSPORT AT ALL COSTS!!!
