Broken Furniture and Unprofessional Service

I contacted Mr Cheap Transport to move my furniture from a self storage facility in Johannesburg to the Eastern Cape. Booking and paying was easy and Shirley was extremely friendly. This was way back at the end of October 2022. The problems started when I kept being promised of delivery dates and nothing would arrive. They were not proactive in informing me of cancelling the trip so I would wait the whole day for nothing. My furniture eventually arrived in November 2022 after nagging and nagging from my end. On the day of arrival I noticed that most of my furniture was on a trailer behind the truck, which had driven overnight through the rain. EVERYTHING was soaked, my leather recliners had were water logged and my linen sectional was soaked through and had serious water stains. Apparently when they collected my furniture from the self storage, they took it to their facility using a third party transporting company called Bulls Removal, which took it upon itself to dismantle some of the furniture pieces (without my knowledge), thus my coffee table arrived missing a leg. My treadmill was broken so was my stationary bike. A half moon table was also broken and had deep scratches.

What adds to my frustration is the fact that both Mr Cheap and Bulls Removal are now ignoring my emails as well as my WhatsApps…

I don’t know what to do… I paid them on time but when it’s time to sort their own mess out no one responds
