POOR BUSINESS ETHICS

App**** for a trade and finance for a vehicle. Was offered a trade in value and I accepted. All the paperwork was done and the finance approved. On the day of the finalization of the paperwork I was sent a message saying ''Hi sir, the vehicle is sold, I'm sorry'' and that too from the finance department and not even my salesman. And that was it. What I find so strange is that there are numerous 5 star reviews on google reviews for this same dealership praising the exact same 2 people I dealt with, Mohammed & Rowena. Had I seen the review on hellopeter earlier then I would not have wasted my time with them. Due to my experience with them, I highly recommend people to stay away from these guys. A very disappointing experience with very unprofessional and ********* business people.

An application for Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF) was lodged by Mr Car on behalf of Mr Naidu. At the time of his application, Mr Naidu was informed that there was another prospective buyer on the same vehicle for which he had app**** for VAF.

A trade in value was given to Mr Naidu, subject to the condition that the vehicle was inspected by our Dealership. An inspection by our Dealership was never conducted as Mr Naidu’s vehicle was at a panel beater. Accordingly, Mr Naidu did not get a confirmed offer for his trade-in vehicle. Therefore, there was no acceptance by Mr Naidu.

It was never the intention of our Dealership to deceive nor mislead Mr Naidu in any manner whatsoever.

Mohamed, the salesman, communicated to Mr Naidu via WhatsApp that our vehicle remained on the market until such time that the trade-in value was finalized. The finalization of the trade-in value did not materialize as the suspensive condition for the trade-in offer was not met. Furthermore, our Dealership did not accept a deposit from Mr Naidu to secure a purchase as the trade-in value was not finalized, hence final figures were not computed.

Mr Naidu refers to “the day of the finalization of the paperwork.” It is difficult for our Dealership to comment on this as we do not know what he is referring to. There was no appointment scheduled with our Dealership to finalize any paperwork.

The trade-in value was not finalized and the vehicle remained on the floor for sale. The vehicle was purchased by someone else. Mr Naidu was informed that the vehicle was sold by the same person who assisted him with his application for finance.

The Proprietor of Mr Car made numerous calls to Mr Naidu, and sent him a WhatsApp, with a view to remedy the situation but he elicited no response from Mr Naidu.
