I paid their money and they do not want to remove the debt on my credit score

I was owing them money after I lost my job finally I got a new job and paid them off through ITCBA which they referred me too since I had not paid and now they do not want to remove the debt on my credit score , I tried to get ahold of both the companies and cannot either of them this is frustrating and ruining my credit score and these companies now that I have paid I cannot get ahold of them please can someone assist me!!
