Harrassed over a paid up account
I received an email from Mpowa on the 10 September 2019 of my Mpowa account being in default for 20 days and 10 day later wich was 20tj September 2019 I paid an amount of R792 to their FNB account that was sent on the email for payment due and immediately I sent them the proof of payment requesting a paid up letter but nobody bothered to reply on that mail moving forward on the 16th October 2019 I received another email saying my account is in default for 25 days and I should pay the amounr due wich wasR797.97 really? I then sent them my proof of payment again they said they will rectify that But guess what iam harassed by phone calls, sms and emails by HTN attorney's that they collecting on behalf of Mpowa how if I already paid off tje account? And I paid even before it was handed Like its been over a year and still on this? Whats so difficult in issuing a paid letter or doing a reconciliation on your account to check if client paid or not? On my credit report it shows that iam Still owing the R792 stiill and that is affecting my score I have no choice but to take this matter further.
Apologies for the late response.
I have contacted HTN Attorneys to notify them that this account has been paid up.
As on our system it has been paid up since October 2019. I have requested for the information to be Resent to the credit bureau.
With regards to the communication at the time in 2019. You had taken 3 separate loans, all of which were paid late. The 1st loan being paid 2 months after due date. The next 2 were paid and then later reversed at the bank and settled later in October 2019. Hence you would have received an sms per contract. (as each contract was a 1 month loan with different amounts and due dates)
