Failure to refund a deposit.

I have rented a property from Mpileng group for R6 500.00. I occupied it for only 2 months and left it in good condition (better/cleaner than when I moved in). Despite this, my deposit was not refunded. I was informed that I had to wait for the new tenant to move in and make payment and it had to be split amongst a few individuals (agent & owner) before my deposit could be refunded. After approximately 10 weeks of repeatedly following up and trying to resolve this matter I have only received R1500, with no satisfactory explanation for the outstanding balance of R5 000.00 and interest if any.
