PATIENTS ARE PRISONERS

My sister was recently admitted to Mowbray maternity, and she now has to remain their for 2 weeks until she is transferred to groote schuur.

I can't seem to understand how you expect a woman to remain in a room with just a bed and nothing else for 2 weeks straight! Shouldn't u have a communal lounge (like groote schuur) with TV for woman who stay such long periods. Why is there no area for woman to go and get some fresh air (like groote schuur). Mowbray is a maternity hospital, not a mental hospital.How can anyone remain in a room with just a bed to sit on, walls to look at, for such a long time

There is one tiny fridge for everyone, it becomes so full that there is no space for the next persons food. Also no kettle to atleast make some tea or coffee (she obviously have her own coffee and teabags) and no microwave to warm ur food.

This is more like a prison than a maternity hospital. Something needs to be done.
