Golf ball incident

I was hit by a golf ball driving on the road, the ball came from the direction of the golf club. I immediately went in to report the incident. The management denied liability from the club but offered me R300 towards my access which I refused. I went to the police station to report the incident and I'm not getting any joy with the investigation. Please help.
